This summer Facilities Services will relocate from their current space on campus, south of Kerr Administration Building, to the new Western Shops building, located on SW 35th street. Facilities Services' core operations will continue during the move, but we expect impacts to our maintenance work for the Corvallis campus in the following ways:
Service response times for non-emergency situations may take longer.
Longer-term project work may be impacted.
Facilities Services is striving to be as responsive as possible during the move by:
Assigning a key representative out of each of the maintenance shops to respond to emergency and urgent service calls.
Authorizing overtime if needed to complete work.
Hiring contractors if needed to complete work.
Moving a maintenance and repair organization like Facilities Services is a massive project; much of its inventory, product and large-scale equipment requires specialized moving services and needs a much longer lead time than a typical office move. We ask for patience and understanding during this transition; we will return to normal operations as quickly as possible.
