Building Access for Employees

On July 14, 2020, the university entered the Modified Operations stage of the OSU Resumption Plan. Faculty and staff may return to their offices and workspaces if:

  • It is necessary for them to effectively perform their duties;
  • Their return has been approved by their supervisor and their workspace is prepared for their return (e.g., physical barriers and/or other appropriate mitigation measures are in place);
  • The Building Manager is aware and has informed the appropriate university offices to restore the building for occupancy; and
  • They comply with OSU’s Face Covering Policy.

The Operations Resumption Team is providing resources and guidance for resuming operations on the Corvallis campus, including a building operations status page. (NOTE: Requires ONID to access).

Key Shop

Due to current circumstances, the Key Shop has restricted hours until further notice.

Open: 12:00pm to 3:00pm on Mondays, Wednesdays and Fridays.

There are envelopes provided at the door if you are returning keys outside the above hours. Please provide your Name, OSU ID# and current mailing address, enclose your keys and put them through the drop slot. The Cashier’s office will process any refund you are owed and mail it to you.

Custodial Services

Facilities Services is committed to maintaining the highest standards of cleanliness across the Corvallis campus facilities. Facilities Services and ABM, our custodial services contractor, are taking steps to reduce the possibility of exposure to COVID-19 (Coronavirus) on the Corvallis campus. At this time, ABM staff have adopted a specialized cleaning protocol due to reduced use of classrooms and offices on the Corvallis campus. Measures include:

  • Enhanced cleaning of high touch point areas, including doorknobs, light switches, telephones, elevator buttons, etc.
  • Sterilizing classrooms, including a thorough cleaning of all tables and chairs.
  • Cleaning interior windows and floors.
  • Testing and replacing electrical lighting bulbs.

As of January 30, 2020, ABM implemented an enhanced daily cleaning program and trained all staff on the enhanced levels of cleaning processes. ABM is using EPA-registered cleaners and disinfectants for frequently-touched surfaces (including doorknobs, light switches, telephones, elevator buttons, etc). ABM has also evaluated task frequency and has added frequency.
